We have updated the network for the school and parish. This allowed our youth to be prepared for the future with scalable and reliable technology. We rebuilt the infrastructure with fiber and Cisco technology. New computer labs used for STEM research and testing as well as theatre and event spaces have been engineered to face the future were built . The faculty, teachers, and students have new laptops, desktops, sound systems, smart boards and smart TVs as tools to educate and host community events. Cathode tube televisions or film projectors and POTS telephones were replaced with a managed smart network. As a system administrator, network engineer, and technology specialist, I was part of building a new culture of educating educators in utilizing technology in education. We couldn’t allow students to evolve faster than it’s educators. So, we built a culture of teachers and administrators leading the forefront of cutting-edge communication and streaming technology using Office 365, Teams, Zoom, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, emails, messages, and zero-hour phone calls. This organization can now function even when a societal shutdown occurs. My goal as the Lead Technician for St. Benedict Parish and Preparatory School was to serve my community and help with the success of all the members of the organization. In which I found great success at my position.

I am diagnosing and resolving the elevated tickets from Tier1 as well as accomplish tasks delegated by management. These issues are advanced wireless and wired connections as well as verifying Internet speeds of up to 1Gbps. I am able to interact and communicate long-term solutions with customers through emails, phone calls, as well as onsite visits. My responsibilities include verifying connectivity from the routers and switches from the customers' end as well as provider's end. I am ultimately learning a strong fundamental understanding of how OSI Layer's 1, 2, and 3 operate locally at the LAN and interact across the wider area network, WAN. My goal is to become a better Tier 2 technician so I may best manage Everywhere Wireless' ever growing network and customer base.

As an entry level Network Support Technician for Chicago's best Internet Service Provider, I am learning to provide support to customers and the overall network by diagnosing issues and choosing the best possible solutions. Issues range from connectivity issues, slow speeds, or billing issues. Supporting the network involves having the proper information for the right people, exactly when they need it.
