I founded a citizen movement that hacked the re-writing of the Tunisian constitution to make sure citizens participate in decision making. After two years of advocacy and lobbying the parliament, the movement grew to more than ten thousand activists and supporters and successfully introduced the concept of open governance and access to information into the 2014 constitution.Besides being a speaker and advocate for the cause, I play various roles such as a trainer for civil society and government organisations, and have been a member of various working groups such as the Open Budget Finance commitee (2013-2014) and the OGP tunisian steering commitee (April 2013).

We build software and apps in the realm of big data, social networks, media monitoring and analytics.

As a CTO, I designed the core technology, hired and conducted a team of ten highly skilled engineers in the first year, built a fully functional product (MVP) and validated the value proposition through 3 mission-critical projects in less than 6 months.As a co-founder, I helped raise around 1M from local VCs for this freshly created startup.Based on XSML, eXtended Software Modeling Language, the main product, iBuilder, is a visual tool that allows non-technical users to assemble and customize web applications without writing code.Considered a breakthrough in software design by Canadian Research Center CRIM, the patented technology promotes "Reflexive Software" and "Reuse" ; Any application written in XSML is self-descriptive and self-adaptable independently from any programming language.XSML covers the 3 aspects of software design under the MVC paradigm : Data representation, User Interfaces (screens, graphical elements, forms) and Logic (calculations, application event-driven behaviour)

Co-founded a major IT player in Tunisia and sold the company to french IT Services company Keyrus (EPA: ALKEY) in 2006.I was responsible of the operations, R&D, and all the consulting activities (IS architectures, Internet Security, Business Intelligence,..).Actively took part in Business development in the Tunisian and French markets.Won several national and international awards. Won "The Best e-Business application in the world" award by the World Summit of Information Society, in 2005, for "WebTelegram", a large scale web-based application, launched in Tunisia.

As a CTO, I designed a large scale system to publish multi-national, multi-topics news portals using automatic "Information Retrieval" techniques and "Natural Language Processing" algorithms.I directly managed the team which successfully launched a first national portal in Tunisia within the first year of operations allowing other portals to be launched with minimal effort to cover the whole arab region.As a co-founder, I also brought a local VC investor.

My first "serious" business started while studying computer science engineering. One of the earliest internet companies in Tunisia. Profitable since first year.Sold it to "Middle East and Africa Internet Group"
