Methods include primary and cell line culture, mammalian cell transfection, immunoblotting, qPCR, co-immunoprecipitation, super resolution (stimulated emission depletion, STED) microscopy, TIRF microscopy, single particle tracking, immunohistochemistry, and use of animal models (handling, surgery, and behavioural tests).

Worked with a research team that focuses on fundamental cellular processes that, when disrupted, contribute to cancer progression. This includes how dynamic nanoscale molecular assemblies (clathrin structures, receptor complexes, lipid remodelling structures) are regulated by chemical, mechanical and metabolic cues, and how they can be therapeutically controlled for cancer treatment and targeted drug delivery. My project focused on signalling mechanisms that regulate Signal Transducers and Activators of Transcription (STATs) in epithelial and triple negative breast cancer cell lines.Laboratory techniques include cell culture, whole-cell lysate preparation, cell treatment with various inhibitors, immunoblotting, siRNA gene silencing, immunofluorescence staining, and spinning disc confocal microscopy. Worked with a research team focused on the reciprocal regulation of membrane traffic and cellular signalling in relation to the cell surface proteome - notably, by clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Investigated effects of specific post translational modifications on protein function and internalization that impact biological homeostasis and disease pathologies, with implications in cardioprotection and treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease. This research will contribute to furthering current understanding of various pathologies, as well as possible routes for future treatment.Laboratory skills include cell culture (epithelial cells), pharmacological treatments, and immunoblotting.MaRS Discovery District (Ryerson University Research Facilities).

Worked with a team focused on various areas in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. This includes the development of novel mapping and ablation technologies, lifestyle modification to manage atrial fibrillation, and the epidemiology of atrial arrhythmias.

Assisted in grading tests on ear-training, rhythm, and basic conducting for MUS107 (Architecture of Music I), MUS507 (Architecture of Music II), and invigilated tests for MUS300 (Musicology) for Dr. Kristin Force at Ryerson University.
