I have been working as a private Nanny for almost two years now with the same family and have taken on a lot of responsibilities during that time. My roles and responsibilities include; ensuring the children were at schools and clubs on time and in appropriate clothing, working with my employer to ensure consistency for the children, communicating with my employer any messages or concerns in an effective way, organising the day, including activities, both planned and spontaneous for the children to keep them entertained, during school terms and holidays, preparing healthy meals for the children and during the COVID pandemic, ensuring that the children completed their school work and helping them with anything they did not understand.

I started off my journey at Elan as an apprentice and progressed through the company. I was given the position of Room Leader and was the third person in charge. My roles and responsibilities included; being a key holder and opening and closing the preschool, assisting the manager and deputy in the day to day running of the preschool, mentoring and supporting the staff, managing the room and day to day goings on, greet and feedback to parents, dealing with any comments and complaints appropriately and professionally, among others.
