We connect with University Alumn and speak to them about the University of Idaho. We also raise funds for various scholarships and programs throughout the University community.

As a Quality Assurance Intern I was able to assist the Quality department as well as other departments that were short handed. On average I worked 55 hours a week and was willing to pick up any extra shifts when necessary. I worked days, nights and weekends. Some jobs that I assisted with include janitorial work, lactose packaging, Spanish and English retraining of workers, and Good Manufacturing Practices training.My duties as the Quality Assurance Intern included but were not limited to the following: • Provide Quality support to the Production Department within the facility.• Conduct routine Quality Inspections related to food production: Finished product quality, regulatory compliance, pest control, routine sanitation, employee GMPs, training compliance and HACCP compliance.• Provide GMP and Quality SOP training to relevant departments.• Execute QA Hold/Release functions on incoming Raw Ingredients and Finished Products.• Execute Cause and Corrective Action Program and Complaint Investigations.• Ensure required QA documentation is accurate and maintained at all times.• Update SOPs, Specifications, and Documents as needed. Implement updates within the facility.• Ensure that work is completed timely, efficiently, and that it meets optimal quality standards• Anticipate, trouble shoot, and resolve problems with good manufacturing practices and/or sanitation quickly• Conduct work in a safe manner and abide by all company safety policies• Collect samples for equipment, environmental and in-process monitoring• Review documentation as it relates to food safety requirements and facility policies• Documentation review and inspection of all raw materials and finished productI also facilitated the communication between the non-english speaking employees and non-spanish speaking employees.
