Leading the marketing team on the production of marketing campaign materials for ESMYA® new indication in line with clinical trials and marketing authorization. Investigate the localization of tight and adherens junction protein, paracingulin and its protein interactors using two model systems: 1) rat epithelial tissues, where I studied the expression and subcellular localization of paracingulin and another junctional proteins; 2) mouse tissues either wild type or paracingulin knockout, where I studied the immunofluorescent localization of paracingulin and other junctional proteins, and their expression by immunoblotting.

Responsible for installing the lab experiments, helping the students in performing their experiments. In addition, I had to maintain lab safety.

Responsible for marketing and business development of pharmaceutical and chemical ingredients in Egyptian market, reporting my customers’ technical and research problems to the head companies as BASF, Brenntag, Jungbunzlauer and Budenheim. I also had to look after our clients’ needs, follow up with them, find mutually-beneficial solutions, and resolve their technical and research issues.

The specific objective of this project is to develop a pharmacophore which describes the essential features for the activity of the anti-viral drugs: neuraminidase inhibitors class using Molecular Operating Environment software (MOE) and to test this pharmacophore on drug bank and zinc database.

In this summer internship, I was responsible for marketing Novartis medical products as Voltaren and Spasmo-canulase in the pharmacies, writing reports for the sales and marketing departments about their sales rate and their competitors in the market.
