I have spent the duration of my apprenticeship situated in a Highways Design team working on a variety of projects from Public Realm to Major Schemes. Highlights over the past three years have included working on HS2 delivering my own design package as part of the Preliminary design stage. I've also spent an entire year conducting design and delivering a fencing package as part of a value engineering scheme on the M4 Smart-Motorway project. I have become proficient in AutoCAD and have limited experience in 3D design, I aim to develop these skills further whilst conducting more independent design of my own which will help contribute to excelling in the field of Civil Engineering and becoming an all-round engineer, when I finish my degree I will leap forward to achieving my masters and acquiring Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
