I also work closely with Kenyon's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to make sure we are constantly improving to serve all students better.

I served as the director of a startup nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding community access to healthy, local food and promoting economic development rooted in Licking County, Ohio. The Canal Market District and Enterprise Hub hosts a twice-weekly farmers market, craft markets, and special events at the downtown Canal Market Plaza in Newark. The organization also connects institutions and wholesale food buyers to local farmers through a project called the Food Enterprise Hub.As Executive Director, I oversaw the public launch of all programs, created new partnerships, led grant-writing and fundraising efforts, planned special events, and managed the administration of a new and growing nonprofit organization. During my time as director, I wrote a number of successful grants and beat the goal for the organization's inaugural fundraising campaign by more than 100%. Under my leadership, the organization was recognized as Nonprofit of the Year by the Licking County Chamber of Commerce in 2017 and received the Public Health Guardian Award from the Licking County Health Department in 2016.

Victory Garden Initiative (VGI) is a nonprofit whose mission is to create communities that grow their own food. VGI is an innovative organization with a vision for bringing agriculture back to the city and making healthy, accessible food accessible to everyone, regardless of income or zip code. As VGI's first Program Manager, I developed and managed a portfolio of programs ranging from gardening classes to the Victory Garden Blitz. The Blitz is an annual event that takes place during two weeks in May. Hundreds of volunteers come together during the Blitz to build 500+ new raised bed gardens all over Milwaukee. During my tenure at VGI, I increased the Blitz's reach from about 130 raised bed gardens in 2011 to 548 gardens in 2014.
