About Jonathan Bakly
Hello! I am a current candidate for a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree (from Touro University Nevada, Class of 2026) and for a Masters of Public Health degree (from Touro University California, Class of 2023). Prior to attending Touro, I was a Class of 2021 graduate from the University of Maryland - College Park, where I graduated in Biology (with a specialization in Cell Biology and Genetics) and a minor in General Business. Overall, my goal as a future physician is to be become more involved with the healthcare system itself and to give back to communities. As I gain my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree, I hope to utilize the education and experiences I gain to become a well rounded physician. In addition to that, attaining an MPH allows me to gain a better understanding of the healthcare system, public policy, and creating community interventions. I hope to use the skills, knowledge, and experiences from my DO/MPH degrees to work closely with communities in-need and to improve the systems within them. While growing up, I came to realize the harsh reality of the educational system in America and the lack of role models that children have to be inspired by. Thus, a lot of my experiences revolve around working with the children in different communities in hopes of making an impact on both the community and the children. As a future physician I hope to not only work hard to become a great doctor, but to also become a physician that inspires many generations and communities to work towards their goals.
