I spent the first 19 years of my professional career in the healthcare industry, specifically retail pharmacy services. I began as the 18th employee in a start-up company, but eventually, through rapid company growth, several M&A events, and progressive role changes, I found myself working as an operations leader in a large public company of 15,000+ employees. It was a wild ride filled with great people, experiences, and lessons.Then, in 2021, I made the transition out of the corporate world to do more of what I love, being outdoors and being entrepreneurial. Along with my old friend and business partner, Shelton Steele, we opened an urban, cabin campground on the French Broad River Greenway in West Asheville, NC. It features 16 tiny, A-frame cabins with convenient access to the river and the numerous outdoor amenities of the Amboy Adventure Corridor.
