I am an interdisciplinary scientist who is passionate about using computational and mathematical techniques todiscover novel biological insights and to build state-of-the tools for improving human healthcare outcomes. Ireceived my doctorate in Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU, where I wassupervised by Bhubaneswar (Bud) Mishra (advisor), Charles Cantor (Sequenom, Human Genome Project), andTamar Schlick. My doctoral dissertation, On The Applications of Coarse Network Geometry to PersonalizedImmuno-Oncology, focused on using notions of discrete graph curvature to find determinants of response to immunecheckpoint blockade (ICB). Using graph curvature I have discovered new potential biomarkers for ICB responsefrom gene expression (RNA-Seq) data and developed novel algorithms that meaningfully stratify patients based onpre-treatment transcriptomic measurements. My career ambitions lie in using mathematics, computation, machinelearning, and artificial intelligence to develop novel methods that solve important problems in biology andpersonalized medicine. I thrive in collaborative environments, and have lead many ambitious projects to successfulcompletion in both academic and professional settings. In my down time I am a musician; I have written andperformed original songs across the eastern United States and have releases on all major streaming platforms.
