Electrolux Home Care Products, North America is a $450 million Floor Care and Small Domestic Appliances Manufacturer selling products through major big box retailers and regional distributors across the US and Canada. Responsibilities included leadership for 4 high volume distribution centers totaling 700,000 square feet and all transportation functions with $16 million warehouse budget and $15 million freight budget.Led the initiative to consolidate the US distribution centers in order to reduce go-to-market cycle times, lower warehouse operating and outbound transportation costs by several million $. Developed and implemented warehouse KPIs and labor planning and forecasting which resulted in productivity gains of 50% and lowered operating costs by 15%, implemented new budgeting tool and reporting process which resulted in improved productivity and accountability for P&L results. Collaborated with Global Logistics Purchasing team to achieve additional cost reductions in inbound ocean freight of $1 million, focused corporate resources on elimination of major retailer compliance chargebacks saving $100k, and generated additional transportation cost savings via transportation 3PL partner. Coached and provided further development opportunities for distribution center managers, worked with Supply Chain team on multiple Supply Chain initiatives such as Black Friday Inventory Capacity Planning which saved an additional $100k.

Philips Lighting Professional Lighting Solutions, North America is a $1 billion Make-to-Order Lighting Fixture Manufacturer. Products are sold through lighting distributors for commercial, industrial and residential customers. Responsibilities included 11 internal and 3PL distribution centers and all facets of the outbound transportation function.Led the integration of the Genlyte Logistics function into the Philips Lighting organization structure, developed and led the distribution center consolidation strategy reducing the number of warehouses from 14 to 4 locations saving $1.5 million, established two new cross-border facilities between the US and Mexico to support new Mexico factory shipments to the US and Canada, aligned with factory locations to reduce outbound freight dollars through coordinated shipment planning. Set up defect measurement and improvement process tools improving shipment accuracy to 99.95%, improved inventory accuracy above 99% and reduced shipment damages by over 20%, implemented Lean tools and training programs to facilitate Continuous Improvement culture (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and Visual Management), passed three ISO 9001 Quality System audits with no major findings. Worked directly with carriers for freight rate reductions, alternative transportation programs – private fleet and pool programs resulting in $4 million savings, led TMS Outsource initiative identifying cost and service impacts, developed plans and led TMS implementation in distribution centers.Worked closely with multiple factory locations in the supply chain to align service, revenue and cost reduction initiatives and improvements in warehousing and transportation.

Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, is a $2.5 billion aftermarket tire and other OEM rubber products manufacturer. Tires and other rubber products were shipped directly to tire dealers, retail stores and distribution centers globally from this distribution center.Led and managed all facets of a 778,000 square foot, 130 member team, 3 shift, high volume facility, provided industry best service, lowered operating costs and improved productivity by 25% with a $10.5 million operating budget by implementing labor management processes, training and development of supervisors and managers, implementation of Total Preventative Maintenance Programs (TPM), facility and material handling investments, facility layout improvements, yard management processes, talent recruitment, KPI measurement programs, Lean tools and processes implementation, defect measurements and problem solving and prevention processes and the effective use of 3PL labor that improved the customer experience. Shipping accuracy rates of 99.97% were also achieved and trailer turnaround times were improved by 150%.

Cardinal Health is a $100+ billion wholesale drug and medical/surgical supplies distribution provider servicing the complete healthcare continuum to help lower costs and improve patient care.Responsibilities included implementation and management of our 3PL just-in-time stockless daily distribution of low unit of measure hospital supplies program across a 2000 bed, 8 hospital system and two other 500 bed hospitals with our team of 45 employees including on-site customer service and on-site material handlers in the hospitals, managing 8,000 skus.Daily collaboration with the Hospital System Purchasing, Materials Management, IT and Clinical Management teams helped deliver over $2 million savings in annual labor, inventory and packaging costs. Implementation included labor outsourcing to Cardinal, EDI order transmissions and synchronization of order flows with the automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) in the distribution center. Inventory level reductions of 25% and fill-rates above 98% were maintained. Successful conversion to SAP was also completed during this time and no customer impacts resulted from the first day of changeover.

Managed the stockless inventory distribution center implementation for 11 warehouses on schedule and below $20 million budget over 4 years. Directed the Northern Illinois office renovation project for 7 buildings and 700 employees on schedule and below $5 million budget without any business disruptions. Managed the mobile material handling needs and lease renewals for 90 distribution centers. Established standard specifications manual for all warehouse equipment needs.

Responsible for development of distribution center operating procedures for new warehouse management system, prepared WMS testing protocol and provided on-site implementation training on WMS modules for warehouse employees in multiple distribution centers.
