In this role, I managed a group of five off-shore consultants to provide round-the-clock support for critical systems to ensure timely reporting to state and federal regulatory agencies.

• Worked in a team of 5 retrofitting a drill-string fatigue-testing machine with a heating box to replicate down-hole conditions on an oil pipeline.• Designed and manufactured a box that optimizes heating efficiency, keeps test specimen at a steady 200°C, and maintain structural integrity throughout a period of 32 days.• Performed stress and temperature analysis of the heating box and the drill segment using SolidWorks.• Developed code in LabVIEW to monitor and regulate the temperature of the drill string using a PID controlled thermostat and relay.• Used V-Link and TC-Link modules to wirelessly obtain data from the drill string, which allowed for real time storage and transmission of data.• Met with mentors weekly to obtain feedback on progress and design, and ensured goals were met.• Created timelines and documentation, worked around budgets, and presented our project to professional audiences.

• Conducted SDOF blast analysis of strength and durability levels on spar platform using SBEDS and SACS.• Collaborated with 4 safety team engineers in determining time of impairment of spar platform due to fire events.• Prepared blast analysis reports for BP with the lead engineer.• Prepared presentations using PowerPoint and Excel summarizing results of works executed for clients.
