Lead Infrastructure ArchitectCloudmargin Feb 2017 - Jun 2020London, GbResponsible for the infrastructure and security. Managed a team of 4 DevOps engineers. I supervised the implementation and maintenance the CloudMargin platform's infrastructure on AWS. The platform is fully micro serviced using WAFs, AWS ECS with auto-scaling, ELBs, Aurora Clusters, DynamoDB, Redis, and Rabbit MQ. The infrastructure is defined using IAC (Hashicorp Terraform) and the deployment of new microservices is done through CI/CD using Jenkins pipelines, Terraform, Packer. The deployment process is controlled by a node.js app allowing to deploy each microservice to the relevant target environments; Our primary goal was to enable the development teams to be as independent as possible by ringfencing the environment security with this tool. We implemented Hashicorp Vault for secret management and dynamic access to cloud resources and the ELK stack for logs, performance monitoring and APM. As well as Wazuh as a SIEM for security monitoring solution for threat detection, integrity monitoring, incident response and compliance We used Agile Scrum for roadmap items and Agile Kanban for support with short reorganisation lifecycles. -
Ceo And FounderMango Tools Feb 2014 - Feb 2017Mango tools was created to change the paradigm of lack of integration into home automation products. To fix this problem where every single product on the home automation market use a different UI and protocol, we created a real time controller, control services for multiple manufacturers and a custom android device (hardware and software). We managed to pass the MVP, pre series and production stage. The product is separated into multiple independent modules: • MangoTools-Core: Written in Node.JS, Express and Socket.io, NeDb and web tokens. The core create an abstraction layer in order to use the same api for any home automation product. It is built for real time and very low latency even when using dev boards ( Pi)• MangoTools-ui : Written in Ionic and Angular, Socket.io, the UI is designed to run on a custom hardware android device.• Control services: Written as separated nodeJS instances and installed through an app store, it leverages Node-IPC for interprocess communication.Sailor Zone was a platform developed in Sails JS and Angular JS. Sailor Zone was a community marketplace where boat owners could propose their boat for rental directly to interested parties.Always On Time is an IOS App developed in Swift as a traffic / transportation smart alarm clock. Set at what time you want to be at the office and Always On Time will wake you up on time based on traffic / transport conditions.
