• Hello! My name is Jackson Beihoffer I just finished my degree in information systems at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Previously in my academic career, I attended Madison Area Technical College part time while maintaining a full-time job caretaking for a child with special needs. After completing 49 credits and achieving a 4.0 GPA in six semesters, I transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with the intent of getting a business degree.• In terms of my work experience, I have had many jobs that have had dynamic range and has allowed for me to increase my strengths in areas I never thought were possible. For example, I am in a Supply chain internship, which is a field that I was unaware of the processes that go into it. I have now learned how to be proficient in excel and ERP systems which has increased my analytical skills tremendously. I have presumed two of the roles of Purchase Orders and Invoicing as well which has also increased my leadership and responsibility by a large amount. Another example is I used to be a mover, which required physical strength and communicational skills with workers to get heavy objects moved. I also use to be a float worker in an amusement park, which required me to be flexible and open to new tasks that had to be accomplished. My current job is being a caretaker for a child with special needs. The skills that I need in this job are creativity, the ability to take care of someone, and empathy.• These different skill sets have allowed me to become a leader in the field of work that I am in. Over the past 5 years, I have taken part in a volunteer program for children with special needs, called Camp Awesum. This requires my creativity and ability to lead those that need help for over 6 days. I have also used my ability to lead to provide for the community. In September of 2018 I was a part of the National Honor Society, which is a club that requires service hours while maintaining a GPA of over 3.5. In my time for this club, I provided over 30 hours of community service for those around my hometown community. • Overall, my main goal while being in the workforce is to become a leader and help others strive to their max potential. I believe that through experience, other people, along with myself, have the ability to grow tremendously.
