- built up mint.com's data analysis infrastructure, powering user insights, press and blog articles and business intelligence.- built data.mint.com, a platform to share global insights learned from several million mint users.- designed and implemented a machine learning solution to improve mint.com's expense classification quality and coverage.

Zembly was a web-based developer tool and community created by the team that produced the Netbeans IDE. I helped zembly launch and grow its user base by designing and implementing key components including a smart source code editor, integrations with external technologies such as Google's OpenSocial and Yahoo Pipes, and a performance measurement and validation system.

Created the software infrastructure behind VysrTalk, a web service enabling context-aware voice and text communication and relationship building among anonymous visitors of similar web pages.- Designed and implemented a resilient and scalable web-based presence and messaging network - leveraging J2EE application servers, SQL database (MySQL), and javascript/ajax front-ends. - Defined software configurations, implemented monitoring and reporting procedures and tools.- Put in place development and testing processes - Developed a lightweight and efficient binary data transfer proxy using C++/Boost for use by clients to exchange binary files across NATs and firewalls. - Researched and developed a web page matching algorithm - Contributed to the development of client-side modules (Ajax client, Browser extensions), including a voice communication interface.

Spearheaded and delivered several versions of Sun's real-time collaboration infrastructure product line. It is now deployed in government agencies, universities, and large corporations, and embedded in financial sector solutions, collaborative portals, and developer tools.- Led the 8 persons development team.- Hired 5 talented engineers.- Mentored and empowered team members through varied and attractive assignments. - Led design and architecture - Designed and developed the server's distributed XMPP/Jabber engine, network IO layer. - Oversaw a complete redesign of a JFC/Swing instant messaging user interface. - Prototyped a product version based on the SIP/SIMPLE protocol for IM and Presence, and standard presence formats. - Developed relationships leading to wider adoption of the technology. Successes include the adoption of the technology by the Netbeans IDE, integration into a partner's wireless IM solution, creation of a specialized conferencing system for a medical association.

Delivered key portions of Sun's email product line- Conceived, designed and implemented a light-weight and efficient real-time event notification systems used and exposed by Sun's calendar and email products as. This module was an important interface for unified messaging partners and was instrumental in enabling strategic ISP deployments.- Led a team of up to 5 engineers for the delivery of the message transfer agent (MTA) component, in 4 major releases. Specific deliverables included integration of a third party MTA technology, development of an LDAP-based routing engine, management interfaces, and the message store delivery agent.- Coordinated the cross-team domain hosting project, allowing hosting service providers to manage multiple customer domains with a single server and delegate partial control to domain administrators. This project impacted all components of the messaging server, including routing, message storage, user provisioning and administration tools.
