I’m Jim Berkowitz, the Founder and Growth Strategist at Launchhawk and over the past 40 years, as an entrepreneur, intrapreneur, senior product manager, consultant, industry analyst, and mentor, I’ve worked with hundreds of businesses seeking to gain an edge from, or create, the latest startup.I started my career in 1977 at Arthur Andersen in Boston and, with their support, became one of the country’s first experts on the use of personal computers in business. Since then, I’ve founded 5 startups and several new businesses for others, and have a ton of stories and experiences to share with you. A couple of experiences that stand out include — helping some amazing sales organizations to get, keep, and grow customers as a Customer Relationship Management software reseller and consultant. In the early 80s, I founded a company, Mosaic Sales & Marketing Technologies, that sold, customized, and implemented sales force automation (SFA) software. Within 3 years, Mosaic became one of the most successful SFA software resellers in the world. In the late 90s, I designed and launched CRM solutions for one-time predictive analytics market leader SPPS, which is now part of IBM. And in the early 2000s, as a CRM thought leader, I became one of the top CRM Analysts in the industry and had the good fortune to provide consulting services to Salesforce.com when they were still in startup mode in 2004. More recently, I was a mentor at 2 Colorado-based startup seed accelerators, and I founded LaunchHawk, a business focused on helping startups to achieve initial sales traction and rapid growth for their new products.I absolutely love being an advisor and growth strategist to entrepreneurial-minded people…it’s my passion.So what does this all mean for you? It means that by working together you’ll learn from the cumulative knowledge and experience I’ve gained over a very long and successful career. Public Service / Volunteer Work: As an active member of the Telluride Colorado community, I have served on the Board of the local community radio station, KOTO-FM, and I am currently on the Board of the Telluride Society for Jazz. I volunteer my time generously to many other local non-profits and I have been a mentor for both the Telluride Venture Accelerator and the Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs (SCAPE). I'm also "DJ Jimmy Jazz" on KOTO-fm in Telluride.
