Provided legal support to media company, which published consumer magazines and digital brands, including ELLE, WOMAN’S DAY and CAR AND DRIVER. (*Acquired by Hearst in 2011.) Negotiated complex transactions relating to major initiatives of the company, including agreements concerning strategic alliances, publishing, licensing, marketing and IT services. ~~Key software/technology related transactions that led to the realization of new revenue opportunities included the development of content sites and digital applications, the contracts underlying Hachette's on-line advertising system, the carrier agreements for the company's mobile sites, the build-out of a subscriber database platform and the the creation of a digital content rights management system. ~~Other important projects involved brand and content licensing deals, video/film production, joint product development arrangements, the establishment of a cloud-based employee expense/direct deposit reimbursement system and special marketing programs.Provided legal support to Hachette’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Jumpstart Automotive Media, an online automotive advertising network of sites that reached over 16 million car shoppers monthly.
