It probably sounds funny, it certainly won't change the world - but it will change people's lives. I opened new stores by coordinating with vendors, setting shelving, installing computers/registers/security, hiring new staff, and overseeing new inventory. I trained and supported managers and staff. I developed the company's first employee manual and return/refund policy.

WindRiver Publishing was a family-owned corporation dedicated to providing quality works of fiction, education, and inspiration to national and regional markets.As president of the company I oversaw all facets of operation and directly managed product marketing, promotion, production, editing, review, and IT development and management. During its operation I reviewed approximately 10,000 manuscript submissions, edited 30+ books, secured production of 50+ books, and produced marketing and promotional campaigns for same.I wrote and maintained the company's website including the shopping cart and a comprehensive manuscript submission and review system.During this period I wrote and published "Blow Us Away: Publisher's Secrets for Successful Manuscripts".Regrettably, WindRiver Publishing was unable to withstand the U.S. recession of 2009.

I was hired as the second application engineer and Silicon Metrics’ thirteenth employee. I was involved in pre-sales technical evaluations and training, post-sales customer assistance, services, technical marketing and product development. Highlights of my work include:• I was involved with most of Silicon Metrics’ customers and potential customers demonstrating tools, training characterization and design engineers, reviewing and resolving both design and tool issues, and developing new tool features. I worked with two tier-1 companies to map and develop characterization and design flows that included Silicon Metrics products.• I was materially involved in the development of Silicon Metrics’ first product, CellRater, a tool used to characterize standard cells, I/O and small-to-medium datapath cells. My design and technical expertise in the analog effects of digital modeling, as well as my experience working with human-to-software interactions for many EDA tools were most valuable for these efforts.• I contributed to the marketing and development of CellRater by scripting additional automation or prototype characterization and data acquisition. These scripts helped Silicon Metrics’ sales staff by producing comparative and histographic data emphasizing the value of the tool, and Silicon Metrics’ programmers by providing a simple and documented prototype for new features.• I was the original documenter for the tool set and contributed materially to each tool's user manuals, training guides, and product marketing collateral - an effort that resulted in more than one thousand written pages. I designed the original product Q/A test suite and contributed to its continued development.

I qualified Galax!’s 0.35μ library and Avant!’s Star-MTB Master Toolbox cell characterization tool preparatory to new library development, new cell development, and automating the library characterization process. I helped to develop Galax!’s business model, assisting in the development of a Star-MTB training class, and developing the content of the Passport Library presentation shown at DAC ‘98. The Austin Galax! organization was officially disbanded in July 1998, and Galax! itself dissolved shortly thereafter.

My primary duties at Dallas Semiconductor were to support and maintain the transient simulators, netlisting, post-layout analysis, and the Analog Flow. I supported the use of both analog and static-timing simulators, evaluated a wide variety of electronic design automation (EDA) tools, consulted within the EDA team concerning the Digital Flow, and developed and maintained the design UNIX environment (SunOS & Solaris). Additionally, I conceived and developed DalSemi’s CadWeb internal web-site. The site included a custom class-registration system that became very popular, and was directly responsible for a four-fold increase in engineer training, which itself contributed directly to a dramatic increase in the use of automation during the design cycle.

OPP commercialized EDA software, first developed by the now defunct Signetics corporation, for military and commercial design and testing of electronic circuits. I acted as liaison to Hill Air Force Base, UT (the sponsor of the commercialization) and author for the software documentation.My duties included contract interpretation, project review, quality analysis, IC modeling, as well as marketing, training and authoring 300+ pages of documentation. I worked closely with both HAFB and our software developers to insure that both functionality and interface were suitable for both military and civilian applications.

As the design engineering lead I helped train exchange engineers from the Netherlands and Singapore. I worked with CMOS, Bipolar and BiCMOS technologies to design within, and support, Philips’ 16/32-bit high-frequency/high-current (ABT and MultiByte) product families. My duties included primary circuit design, simulation, and layout.Further, I regularly authored and lectured in seminars and instructional tours, helping Philips’ customers to use its products. Finally, I continued the development and support of Philips’ SPICE Customer Support program, which I started as a Junior Engineer.

As a new hire in the growing Philips organization (who owned Signetics Corporation) I was responsible for the design and maintenance of products within the BiCMOS 16/32-bit high-frequency (ABT and MultiByte) product line, and developing the Philips' SPICE Customer Support program. The SPICE program consisted of creating and documenting electronic models of Signetics' products and authoring directions for their use.
