Received a degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Católica del Uruguay.My early experiences in the field were at an external company working for Carrasco International Airport, where I was responsible for redesigning and building a .NET REST API to manage and control parking payments. The API integrated with SKIDATA SDKs.After this project, I embarked on a 6-month trip to Asia and Europe with the Economics Sciences program, a typical journey in Uruguay.Upon returning to Uruguay, I joined MercadoLibre while completing my final two courses. At MercadoLibre, I worked in the Growth area, providing and maintaining tools to facilitate shipping and measurements for the Marketing team, managing recurring campaigns and one-time sends across various channels such as Push, email, SMS, or WhatsApp.Given MercadoLibre's high throughput and the demands of this area, applications were developed using best practices in design and programming to ensure high performance and compliance with different agreed-upon SLAs. We generally worked with microservices architectures primarily in Golang and Java, utilizing multi-level caches, publisher/subscriber services, relational and non-relational persistence, and more. We had monitors and metrics in all our apps and participated in on-call rotations.For the past three years, I have been working at tixologi.com, where I have held various positions, starting as a Senior Software Engineer, then becoming a Tech Lead, and finally Head of Engineering.We designed the entire system architecture from scratch. Our stack includes Golang, Cadence, React, and React Native. Our architecture is based on cloud microservices using pub/subs, cron schedulers, containers, CI/CD, and more, integrating multiple services into our system.We build, maintain and use an smart contract written in Cadence that lives on Flow blockchain.I work directly with our CEO and Product Manager to design, estimate budget, prioritize, and generate constant features.
