I've been a constantly active web developer for 20+ years, starting with simple small business websites in the early days to database-driven corporate websites and online tools. In addition to editorial, marketing and communication needs, e-commerce has been a large part of my daily workflow, primarily customizing and maintaining Shopify, Big Commerce, Volusion and Amazon storefronts.The larger body of my work spans over 40 years of experience in a great variety of projects, all of which required a marriage of creative and technical skills; including animation, special effects, model making, puppetry, sculpting, education, video games, toys and robotics.This broader scope allows me to translate between management, marketing and programming with relative ease. One of my greatest strengths is to approach projects from the wide view, rather than the limited focus typical of many developers and designers. My perspective and skillset can add value to many types of projects and initiatives.My depth of experience with hands-on web development, business tools, robotics, educational video games, animation and live-action film production has given me a unique perspective and brought me into close contact with a variety of different personalities and work styles.This experience has developed skills that allow me to intuit how others tend to think and how best to reach them with new materials politely and effectively. I have developed training materials and presentations to support past projects as well as in my most recent role as a STEAM learning facilitator who helps bring new talent into the fold.
