I lead GitHub's customer-facing, technical pre-sales (130+ personnel globally), and our technical partnerships, teams growing GitHub's position as the industry standard for developer collaboration for upwards of 70 million users. The mission of Field Services is to be trusted technical advisors via in-person and remote collaboration, to improve the understanding of modern software development practices for GitHub’s perspective and current customers. The Field Services team is made up of four different specialities:- Solutions Engineers • Working with customers during their buying journey to share industry best practices for version control, secure development, continuous integration (CI/CD), cloud-native development, inner-sourcing, and collaboration at planet-scale.- Technical Specialists • Subject Matter Experts in software security (including SAST, DAST and SCA), CI/CD and workflow automation, or Enterprise best practices working across regional teams to drive customer success.- Field Product Directors • Deep Subject Matter Experts working with customer leadership, developing solutions, performing product research, and leading internal product, engineering, security, and marketing efforts. These global experts execute our most strategic efforts and work with senior leadership across GitHub to guarantee success. - Business Value Engineers • Help prospective customers understand how GitHub, and improved processes, can impact their corporate priorities and success via investigation, assessment, and analysis. Works directly with Enterprise leaders to solve problems accelerating their success.The technical partnership team improves the business and developer experience by understanding and advocating for our partners integration needs and connecting technical solutions into the GitHub platform. The team consists of Business Development leads and Partner Engineers to create win-win scenarios for our partners, the ecosystem, our users, and GitHub.

The Field Architecture team at GitHub, part of the Field Services organization, supports cross-regional initiatives accelerating and expanding customer success.The Field Architecture team operates on a global scale, and consists of roles and contributors to serve our customer's and user's complex needs, specifically growing their use of GitHub and modern development practices. This includes being trusted advisors and deep subject matter experts supporting software modernization, digital transformations, vertical-specific software development, secure coding practices and tools, as well as security and trust competencies. We communicate GitHub's industry-leading positions, manage relationships with key executive stakeholders and partner with strategic and high-potential customers to navigate through technical change.

Helping guide the Finos foundation to empower Open Source participation within the Financial Services, FinTech, and greater Regulated Industries. Lead the Financial Services Developer Experience (FDX) program, looking to improve adoption of modern technical tools and workflows for members, and communicating industry requirement and problems with vendors. This will enable the development of high quality, secure, compliant open source software, all while delivering results faster and simplifying the evaluation and consumption of open source software within the community.

Dcode works with both the tech industry and government to bring top tech onto contract and into government missions. Dcode’s acceleration program provides private sector tech companies of all stages and sizes a simpler, faster, and more streamlined way to scale in the federal market.

Worked with Defense and Intelligence customers on surfacing valuable details, insights, and visualizations from large, disparate data sources. Used both traditional (Relational Databases, Web front-end display) as well as Cloud technologies (Hadoop, Accumulo) to meet analysis needs. The role included building and leading a team of developers responsible for front-end visualization development including supporting the Ozone Widget Framework, platform and API management, big data considerations, system and performance optimization, architecture and infrastructure for delivery, complex event processing, management, and delivery at scale in a diverse operational environment as well as providing general Technical leadership and vision.

Worked to provide technical solutions to the blank canvas that was local weather on the internet, starting in 2005. Worked data architecture, graphic design, site implementation and social media strategy among other tasks.Worked with partner organizations to build data services and delivery platforms for weather, forecasting, and climate data of all types, as well as maintaining back-end storage and support.Helped to push the limits on what could be done with weather on the web. Weather, previously the domain of large corporations and media companies, through a team of well-trained local meteorologists and enthusiastic observers, gave weather, climate, and news from the local and hyper-local perspective as opposed to the advertisers. Provided the technical backing for one of the first weather blogs on the Internet and helped to grow it into one of "Washingtonian's" Top Local Websites 5 years running.After combining forces with the Washington Post in 2008, continued to provide technical implementations to continue the independent and upstart nature of the site (regardless of partners).

Web and Emerging Technologies engineering with experience on multiple Department of Defense led projects. Experience with team leadership, management, and technical design of customer-driven solutions. Used various tools in multiple environments to accomplish a myriad of tasks.
