Providing leadership to the community connections and partner support services teams toward the collective goal of advancing a stronger partner network that is working collaboratively to address food insecurity and its root causes.

As Director of Community Engagement I work to identify, initiate, and deepen relationships with various community stakeholders who will work side-by-side with the Regional Food Bank as an ongoing partner. Providing leadership to the Volunteer Center staff that ensures the Regional Food Bank’s Volunteer Engagement Program is a model volunteer program and the premier volunteer experience of choice in the community, while maintaining sufficient production levels to meet the inventory needs of the Food Bank’s community distribution partners.

- Provide leadership for the FRC Development team - Assist in the identification of new FRC sites and assess the readiness of the community to support a FRC.- Provide and facilitate the collection of relevant data and statistics to support FRC community development. - Identify and organize necessary community partners - Ensure community readiness - Work with the Executive Director to facilitate and negotiate challenges identified by the planning committees.- Guide and work with FRC partner, community and Food Bank personnel to evaluate, select and procure FRC facility. - Work with Food Bank personnel, assigned architect and FRC partner staff and volunteers to develop FRC facility design. - Work with consultants and advisors to organize, plan and oversee the necessary facility set up for each food resource center.

•Manage the development and expansion of Food Resource Centers (FRCs). A FRC is a partnership between the RFBO and an anchor partner agency to develop a high capacity client choice food pantry with extended hours of operation and the space to act as a secondary food distribution point. I am currently managing the development and construction of 10 FRCs in communities throughout Oklahoma City and central and western Oklahoma. 8 FRCs are now operating throughout our service area. •Manage the ReThink Hunger Initiative; a project realigning the relationship between the Food Bank and its 360 partner agencies. •Supervise the capacity building team. We work with partner agencies and community leaders to increase their capacity to serve food insecure clients throughout our service area. •Develop and expand college and university food pantries. •Managed the annual Partner Agency Conference. In 2013, more than 200 people attended representing 118 partner agencies from across central and western Oklahoma. (Oct 12 to Aug 14)•Represented the Regional Food Bank for the Cheering for Champions advertising campaign with Chesapeake Energy (Nov – Dec 2012).
