After many years in this industry in varying roles at different firms, and surviving two major market crises, I’ve built a unique partnership platform for clients. For that, I can’t envision a better partner than Bernstein.Outside of work, I am passionate about golf. This is a sport that is embraced by many in varying forms, from the die-hard enthusiast to the occasional charity tournament participant. Irrespective of the mental fortitude and physical challenges it presents, golf is a passion of mine. During the 2008 GFC, it was my greatest escape. I spent all day with clients frantic about the state of their portfolio, their future and their livelihood. That, coupled with the stresses of family and home life we all experience, created a feeling of entrapment. Being able to golf, by myself, even for an hour, was a healthy distraction and source of relief. Next is comradery—where else do you get to spend six hours with equally busy individuals and really develop a deep relationship that isn’t centered on a business transaction? The sport is one that my entire family enjoys—not necessarily as a vacation focal point, but rather as a way to get outside and spend time with my wife and daughter.
