Leading Degreed's LXP Engineering teams as we work to democratize learning through our enterprise SaaS offering. Led and grew multiple agile product engineering teams supporting Degreed's LXP product.Some highlights include: Instrumental in building and rolling out an org-wide career ladder; Streamlined our developer onboarding experience leading to 50% quicker onboarding; Co-led a quarter-long effort to increase unit test coverage by nearly 10%.

Worked as an individual contributor on the Mobile team and technical lead responsible for building and maintaining Degreed's mobile API to empower lifelong learners on the go.Some highlights include: Designed and implemented a new OAuth refresh token flow to support biometric authentication in our mobile apps; Built an API rate-limiting mechanism to protect our endpoints from bad actors; Made notable performance improvements (3-5x faster on average) to our mobile search APIs.

Built new software systems and web platforms and performed surgical upgrades to existing legacy systems.One particular project I worked on was the design, development, and implementation of a Court Appearance Reminders System (CARS) that allows members of the public to receive text/email reminders for upcoming hearings and other court-related matters. (C#, ASP.NET Core, PostgreSQL, Azure)

Taught CIS and Computer Science courses in web development, application programming, and database design. Built and taught a boot camp-style full-stack web development curriculum.

Designed, implemented, and maintained custom software applications that automated and streamlined business processes as we worked to bring farming into the 21st century.One interesting project I worked on was designing and implementing a batch process that would push/pull employee payroll and timekeeping data between our custom timeclock application and ADP. I worked with stakeholders to understand and document the business rules and workflows, then leveraged third-party APIs to build the bridge between our custom application and an out-of-the-box solution.

Led the software development team, providing mentoring, coaching, and general guidance as we built and maintained software to support the County's operations.Some accomplishments there: Implemented version control (git/GitHub) and other software development best practices; Served as a project manager overseeing successful County-wide adoption (1500+ employees) of a new timekeeping system; Built a public-facing inmate lookup web application that interfaced with third-party systems and APIs.

Performed development, deployment, and system administration tasks as a member of a small but mighty team supporting the local Court system and its employees.Some fun projects I worked on: Re-architecting the organization's web platform, leading to a 20% traffic increase; Re-imaging project to unify and standardize operating system and application deployment; A software development effort to create a custom employee knowledge and documentation database.

I managed the IT department and all tech services staff as I built out a managed IT services offering. I also spent a significant portion of my time building and maintaining software including our asset/customer management system and our service request system.Some key highlights: Increased profits and revenue enough to create two new full-time positions; Built custom quote generation software that eliminated manual sales processes; Designed and coded a mobile-friendly service request platform for our field technicians.
