Working alongside my role as Local Democracy Assistant, I provide comprehensive support to the Mayor of Waverley. This includes managing the Mayor’s inbox and diaries, coordinating weekly meetings, and acting as a liaison with civic leaders across the South East. I project-manage events on behalf of the Mayor, including his annual charity concert, which raises funds for local charities. Additionally, I attend events with the Mayor to ensure their smooth running and represent the borough effectively. A key responsibility of my role is maintaining up-to-date borough-level preparations for Operation London Bridge.

I have taken a proactive role in modernising the council’s processes, leading discussions on upgrading the hardware and software within the council chamber to enhance performance and save time. This has involved engaging with a range of stakeholders across the council and partner organisations to initiate and drive these improvements.At the invitation of the Leader of the Council, I spoke at the launch of the Council Strategy, highlighting the necessity of streamlining and improving efficiencies to deliver better outcomes for residents. I have also organised and automated several processes to boost productivity, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in local government operations.

Spearheaded the development of a new capability within the Royal Yeomanry, enhancing unit cohesion and identity. Conducted and led over 20 public speaking sessions to improve public relations and raise awareness about LGBT+ military service, significantly enhancing the unit's public image both in the Royal Yeomanry and in the Household Cavalry whilst in regular service. Military service is led by informed strategic decisions to improve overall unit readiness, which has led to a keen interest in national and international political and event-based awareness, from natural disasters and war to elections and trade embargos.
