As an associate attorney I was responsible for client interviews, intake, follow up meetings to address any ongoing concerns, and signing meetings. I had the privilege to work with Jim Turner an AV rated attorney who has over 30 years of experience in business, tax, and estate. I drafted wills, trusts, general powers of attorney, Georgia healthcare directives, research memoranda, letters, and business formation documents. I also assisted Mr. Turner with going over various discovery and voluminous documents including credit histories and estate accountings. As a summer associate, my brief was incorporated into a probate court matter and helped establish our client as the rightful trustee of more than $250,000 of trust funds

I worked with AV rated attorney Eric Johnson on various litigation and collection matters. Drafted research memoranda, motions, pleadings, and argumentative briefs under the direction of the lead attorney. During my time as a summer associate, my research helped a widow receive more than $750,000 in death benefits from her husband’s policy after the insurance company initially denied her claim.
