I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. I am a behavioral scientist with a background in anthropology, nutrition, and global health. My topics of interest include the food environment, access to food, dietary intake, health outcomes, social determinants of health, and community development. I study study how cultural relevant food venues can increase access to affordable, nutritious, relevant, and locally produced foods. My dissertation studied the role that street food stands play in food and beverage availability and variety in Mexico City.
