Many people, companies and agencies desire to be "data driven" as it seems to be todays buzzword. But what does it mean? Does it mean that just anyone should be hired to crunch numbers or that any compilation of data can give you the answers? No. As a Data Scientist it's my job to understand what metrics are needed to help businesses reach their goals. But beyond identifying these metrics, properly asessing the data for quality and integrity, analyzing the data, automating that process and discussing the results with leadership to enable actionable steps towards reaching those goals.I have over eight years of experience providing data analysis, information system engineering, and detailed technical support to government programs, and have received numerous awards and recognition for my work. Agencies supported include DoD, DHS and HHS. Through these experiences, I have demonstrated a proficiency across a vast range of fields in the Data Scoence umbrella including; operations research, statistics, and programming/database engineering. Concurrently, I have maintained strong communication and interpersonal skills. I have served as a technical subject matter expert and "translator" between technical staff and policy experts and I have been called upon to answer tough questions, and provide honest answers based on both my knowledge of the problem, as well as domain expertise. Before I transition to a new experience, my goal is to leave every task, project and organization in a better place than it was prior to my arrival.Specialties: Statistical/Mathematical Analysis, Information System/Database Management, System Engineering, Designing Test Plans, System Architecture/Diagramming, Information System Design, Algorithmic Programming, Documentation of Program Algorithm, Decision Tree Based Risk Analysis.Programming and Querying Languages: SQL, JAVA, C++, Visual Basic, Python,
