During my time at HostGator I primarily worked within the Linux Security department.I worked in many different areas, including:- Researching and documenting new security issues.- Maintaining a reasonable volume of ticket responses and resolutions based on customer inquiries daily.- Cleaning up hacked/compromised websites.- Providing security advice to clients.- Working to combat spam related issues.- Working together with clients and data center providers to ensure compliance and security.- Documenting my efforts and our procedures in order to provide training and guidelines for newcomers to the department.- Training and re-training employees in other departments on occasion.- Consistently providing my expertise in many other Linux and Security related issues. Remote Access

This was a remote position with the company which was based out of South Korea at the time.My job involved: - Community interaction and management via forums, chat, email/helpdesk, and social media.- Ticket inquiries with clients in various aspects (billing, technical, sales)- Quality Assurance & bug testing of new features being released.- Documentation of common procedures for others on the team.- Documentation of common questions/answers and information about the application(s) for public use.- Providing quality checks/peer reviews of the support provided by colleagues to give constructive feedback (constructive feedback was also received).
