With over 10 years of experience in nursing and emergency medical services, I am passionate about infection prevention and control, patient safety, and quality improvement. I am a registered nurse, an emergency medical technician, and an advanced cardiovascular life support provider, with a bachelor's degree in nursing. As an infection prevention practitioner at ThedaCare, I work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor, analyze, and prevent the spread of infectious diseases among patients and staff, and to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.In my current role, I apply my skills in infection control, team building, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation to conduct surveillance, risk assessment, education, and outbreak investigation and response. I collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff, as well as external partners, to implement evidence-based policies and procedures, and to promote a culture of safety and accountability. I also participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives, and provide feedback and recommendations to improve infection prevention and control practices and outcomes.
