I'm the CEO/Founder of Decent Espresso LLC, with which I'm aiming to transform the coffee world with technology. Espresso machines that make good coffee are too expensive, and it takes too much skill to use one well. Using high tech to control the exact water temperature, vary the pressure, and guide people through the process with an Android tablet, I hope to fix that. I'm also working closely with coffee author/guru Scott Rao, to include the best knowledge from the Barista world, and design a series of coffee accessories that solve real world café problems. For example, I'm working on a coffee grinder that automatically stops at the right weight (not time!) to give you the exact dose each time.Previously, I've run the online music services Magnatune, MoodMixes and iLicenseMusic, and the book-exchange BookMooch.com. I founded, ran and eventually sold the Internet marketing firm Lyris in 2005. I recently served 5 years as chairman of the board of the EFF. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, France and London, England. I am French/English bilingual.Specialties: Food science, music business, book publishing, open source
