After working the last few incredible years deploying Edulog’s flagship server across the country to Saudi, I wanted to get back into exploring new faces in Missoula and take my expertise to the great folks of Missoula. This provided a great opportunity to experience one on one with our clients. Over the 2 years we participated in numerous projects within the community. With our latest a total network overhaul to current 2018 standards.In addition our scope of expertise's includes researching various project scenarios and working closely with client and vendor to deliver innovative and cost efficient solutions such as In-house hosting of integrated point of sale solutions , or reasonably sized intranet setups with on-call managed security and Microsoft Active Domain email and custom group policy configuration.

Working cooperatively with Education Logistics Information Technology, Engineering, and Programming divisions this position consisted of solo management & front-line support to our in-house and offshore servers tasked with providing a diverse set of proving grounds exclusively used for the development of Edulog’s latest mobile tablet GPS software, infrastructure development for their key Saudi Arabia expansion, and compatibility testing their software suite under unreleased Windows & SQL database software. This project tackled Utilizing Cisco software XenServer and Microsoft’s Hyper-V platforms for virtualization testing these virtual machines were regularly used for Agile and Black-box testing. Throughout the next 6 months my team held weekly SCRUM teleconference meetings to discuss progress, setbacks, and future of project development. One of the most important factors of this project going gold was being completely flexible with my Saudi associates. Until the project was moved cross-country the last 4 months I was running as sole technician during 2am-9am.Supplemental duties included testing of Edulog’s software suite using a wide array of software-testing methodologies focusing on the back-end of the software such as proper SQL database connections & compatibility, active domain policy compliance, and product installer functionality testing.Solo projects included design and implementation of a multi-tiered NAS redundant backup solution to accommodate the growing number of servers and milestone back-ups, and creating a multi-purpose instructional manual / troubleshooting guide for Software Testing and User Support Services during the 2014 new release of Edulog’s graphical GPS bus software.

Instructed employees in a forum setting the fundamentals of new technologies being introduced into the workplace and how to acclimate to these changes as the company grows. These quality of life changes included holding open-forum Skype conferencing with the Mayor of Kiawah Island with residents and migrating the accounting department to a radically new system with minimal downtime.Built and administered my own Spice Works server for optimized software and hardware audits, tracking trouble requests and prioritizing workday schedules. Responsible for research and implementation of new technology’s leading to substantial leaps in quality of service for resort guests, the association and beneficial to the IT department as a whole.

Supervised and created work-plans for five IT students that worked in my barracks, providing extra support to my help-desk, keeping the computer labs in top shape, and if the need arose I would act as mentor to assist them on trouble calls that were a bit over their scope of experience. Created and ran my own Help desk system for over 350 students under my care, not limited to PC and laptop troubleshooting and repair, printer and monitor repair, submitted RMA's or ordered replacement parts for applicable systems.Additional support provided on a case by case basis for mobile devices/tablets and video game consoles. Dell agent certification provided on-demand replacement part for under warranty systems without involving prerequisite tech support.Participated in the campus wide migration of all faculty, staff and students to Microsoft Exchange and Active Domain. Lastly, when needed I performed as departmental liaison for the Administrations department when expert IT knowledge was requested for cases of recovering damaged technology assets resulting from incident or acts of god.
