I have worked in the IT industry for the past 16 years, working with consumers, small businesses, national telecommunication providers, and global manufacturers.I spent the last 12 years at a small, family run computer shop, as workshop manager. During my time in this employment, my role was primarily to support service contract clients. To provide the best service, we used Continuum as our RMM solution. Typical support would cover workstation, and server support, via telephone, remote desktop, and email. In addition to this, I was also responsible for managing domain names, hosting, and Office 365. My secondary role was to assist, and support the workshop team.I find many aspects of my work exciting, but one which stands out especially is a wireless hotspot deployment in North Norfolk. We've managed this site for several years, and it needed an upgrade. Due to the steep incline at this site, we opted for Open-Mesh equipment, with three gateways, which were bridged to the router with two 5Ghz bridges.Before joining Computer Assist, I worked for Isomicro Ltd –- and was lucky enough to work with amazing clients such as Linksys (then a division of Cisco Systems), British Telecom, and Virgin Media. My best achievement whilst at Isomicro would be when I helped the Linksys overseas engineers investigate and rectify a critical issue with a newly released product, saving them thousands of dollars in rework costs and recalls.I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with other IT professionals. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite part of the job is finding a resolution to a difficult issue. Seeing the result following a tricky repair, or installation is what drives me, and gives me huge feeling of job satisfaction.I am a Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Product Specialist, Microsoft Certified Network Product Specialist and Microsoft Specialist.
