Responsible for support of Cylindrical Cell Manufacturing and Primary Battery Pack Assembly.Design and update Production Tooling.Familiar with Government Contracts, Millitary Performance Specifications (MIL PRF's), First Article Testing (FAT) requirements, and ITAR Regulations.Created Process Work Instructions.Supported implementation of a plant-wide battery testing system. Project duties involved design & coordination of test fixture builds, creation of process documentation, training of operators, installation and troubleshooting of test station hardware, and updates to test routine software.Prepared test plans and failure analysis reports in support of government contracts.

• Responsible for day-to-day manufacturing and engineering support of an assigned list of 10-15 product lines. • Designed assembly tooling for a family of 4 custom latches sold to International Truck for a new sleeper cab, and created all process documentation• Supported the launch of removable hardtop latch on the current generation Jeep Wrangler. Wrote all process documentation, and managed the procurement of automated assembly equipment at an outside vendor.• Led process FMEA and design for assembly analysis for launch of an electromechanical latch. Implemented improvements that improved production rate by 50% and error-proofed most assembly steps.• Successfully launched the E6 friction hinge that was used on the first generation Chrysler Stow-n-Go application. Managed the procurement of two pieces of automated equipment. • Completed a large scale improvement project for an outdoor enclosure latch. Reduced product cost by 15% and reduced reject rate to near zero.

Coordinated testing and validation of new components, created process documentation, and designed fixtures and gaging. • Submitted engineering change proposals to solve quality, design, and manufacturability issues.• Led and participated in several Kaizen and 5S events.
