When opportunity knocks, answer the door! Finding myself tired of the 40 hour grind and the pressure of owing someone else my time I quit my job. With two young children and the desire to do more with my life than 'work for the man' I took the plunge. I wasn't sure how things would work out but God provided a way and I and began consulting for a good friend. Over the years I have added more clients and more people to my team.We currently support & develop two products: ReSight (a CPG focused business development platform) and Orion Protected (a disaster planning/damage assessment platform). We are intentional about growing at a sustainable rate because our clients deserve the highest levels of consistent service. We aren't in a hurry to 'get big' or 'get bought', we are in this for the long-haul.

My position at Nutro grew quickly from focusing on a single business need to managing the IT needs for the entire sales force. At one point or another I was actively executing or supervising the following:-Application development-Web development-Database development-Database administration-Server procurement / setup / configuration-Server administration-Project management-Helpdesk/technical supportWe relied primarily on Microsoft technologies including our server OSes and development stack. These included .net (C#), MS SQL Server, (T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS) and of course MS Office.

After working as a part-time web developer (VB.net/C#) I was hired on full time as a Programmer Analyst II. I taught myself COBOL using the reference material the county provided, the internet, and my co-worker's brains. One of my larger projects was developing a new secure tax roll print format which would allow the Treasurer/Tax Collector to print to laser printers (rather than the old track-feed type). Interestingly, my tax bill still comes in a format that I wrote!

Worked as a consultant to Conference Planners in San Francisco doing web and database development for conferences.
