ACADEMIC: Faculty member of the School of Engineering PUC since 1995, and Full Professor since 2016. Teaching: courses in Analytics, Optimization and Operations Management. Research: focus on the broad areas of operations management modeling with special emphasis on optimal pricing and inventory policies. The work draws on different methods such as experiments, simulation, optimization, and econometrics.ADMINISTRATION: Vice-Dean of the School of Engineering at PUC, and Associate Dean in charge of school development and budget, from 2010 to 2016. Prior, launched and directed for four years the master program in Engineering Management (MII-UC).ENTREPRENUERSHIP: In 2005 co-founded & launched SHIFT UC, a workforce management start-up to address the needs of highly hourly seasonal demand organizations with large workforce (e.g. retail, public transportation, hospitals, call centers, etc.) In 2006 founded & launched PRICING UC, a pricing and revenue management start-up to address the needs of organizations with hundreds or thousands of SKUs and POSs. (e.g. retail, agroindustry, car spare parts, etc.). In 2012 co-founded & launched ROUTING UC, a geo-referenced information based start-up to address the needs of capacity, location, and routing problems.
