I graduated from Chico State with a BS degree in Construction Engineering. Having said that, this university gave me the tools to build a foundation where I got to understand how the construction industry works and operates. There I was also able to be part of DBIA and AGC where I vigorously participated in community service. Community service helped me to significantly improve my time management skills and working with a team. With that being said, I am a great team player, but I am also able to work independently as well. I am also Osha 10 and LEED certified, which is something I am very proud of.Besides academia, I work in the construction field, where I was able to experience working on a variety of residential projects, which gave me a deep understanding of materials, budget and collaborating with different crews/trades and the superintendent to ensure the process runs smoothly. Now, I have shifted to a Field Engineer role for Hensel Phelps. I am currently assigned to City of Hope Cancer Center/Parking Structure & Hospital in Orange County.
