- Lead the team of Engineers in the Manufacturing (Process & Packaging) areas, assigning and distributing the load of projects and initiatives, ensuring full compliance with them.- Identify, implement, and lead savings projects (CIP's) focused on reducing costs in different manufacturing areas.- Lead and monitor the deployment of the visual communication strategy of the metrics and results of the manufacturing area.- Work closely with global suppliers, engineering, product management, operations, sustainability, and sourcing.- Identify and implement corrective and preventive measures to respond to observations from Internal and Regulatory Audits.- Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.- Design and execute the action plans identified to address customer complaints related to manufacturing operations.- Lead the design of experiments, validations and re-validations associated with changes in processes, introduction of new products or equipment, modifications to existing equipment.- Conduct investigations related to CAPAS and Non-Conformances.- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure that packaging meets/exceeds logistics/operational specifications.- Evaluate / implement changes to process specifications when required by Validations and Engineering.- Develop and implement changes / improvements to processes to improve Quality, productivity and optimize the use of materials.- Evaluate and recommend new technologies/equipment to achieve continuous improvement of current processes.- Develop process documentation and training materials for new processes, materials, and equipment.- Work with the manufacturing teams to ensure that the packaging designs are optimized for logistics. - Communicate and monitor the results of process and quality metrics; and implement corrective actions, as applicable.

-Give the necessary support to the members of the Engineering Department to ensure their good performance.-Manage and coordinate continuous improvement projects, coordinating with the Process Engineers their execution in the agreed time and relying on the Process Engineers, the Production Supervisors and those in charge of areas.-Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve quality.-Establish and maintain solid working relationships between the Engineering Department and other departments of the company, including assistance in topics such as training, cost control and marketing objectives.-Performs tasks in accordance with applicable environmental, quality, safety and health regulations (state / federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, AS9100, etc.), as well as Vishay Intertechnology policies and procedures.-Provide guidance / support to the Process Engineers or Engineering Technicians of the plant regarding quality and process.-Monitor the good behavior of the personnel under his direction, their attendance and compliance with the schedule, the coordination of overtime when applicable and the re-assignment of special tasks when required.-Support the local plant in specific efforts for key quality and compliance objectives.-Follow up on the implementation of tasks and responsibilities assigned to the Process Engineers, ensuring their correct documentation to support the Key Metrics of the Engineering Department.-Guide the staff under your direction (if necessary).
