• Led team members in the implementation of the operational budgeting module in EPSi (an exhaustive tool used in healthcare to: assign cost to procedures, build strategic operational and capital budgets, build product lines, forecast, analyze productivity, create reports, etc.). This included: o Training other team members on the details of prior internal budgeting processes o Working with consultants & team members to import existing data from old systems into the new system(s) o A complete rebuild of the operational budget infrastructure: hierarchies, mappings, job classes, departments and sub-ledgers o Training and roll-out hospital-wide to C-Suite, Admin, Directors and Managers• Led the implementation of the capital budgeting module in EPSi. This included a complete re-organization of the $50M annual capital budgeting process as well as a complete re-design of the capital request/purchase and tracking processes. • Work with other team members to completely utilize the new EPSi system to: o Build custom reports for internal and external use, customized from management to C-Suite o Use the data available to analyze and provide meaningful analysis that management can use to make decisions. • Teach other team members the complexities of hospital data, how each set of data relates to one another, how to analyze the data in meaningful and efficient ways and how to translate their prior analytic experiences to healthcare • Updated and redesigned old analytic tools to be more efficient, accurate and meaningful. These tools are then used by management to make decisions with better data and more quickly. • Responsible for analyzing revenue (gross and net) trends within the hospital system.• Responsible for analyzing capital purchases requested by the hospital management. This includes return on investment, payback, new revenue generation and associated costs. • Special projects as requested by C-Suite and upper management.

• Created monthly Financial Statement data packages consisting of: multiple versions of Balance Sheets, Comprehensive Income Statements, Product Lines and other detailed financial metrics in Cognos 8.4, Excel and Access • Analyze these reports, prepare summaries and present this information to management as support for financial decisions• Developed forecasting models that were used by all levels of management for revenue and cost analysis • Create and analyze both operating and capital budgets for the entire hospital which consists of 180 individual cost centers – train management how to use Cognos and Attainia for the budgeting process• Led the task of streamlining the capital budget request, monthly financial and statistical data collection processes• Perform routine processes in the Financial Analysis department as well as all special projects as directed by management, including: ROI calculations, custom financial reports and template, forecasts, cost estimates and custom reports.
