Based on the belief that health is a basic human right, MCN Foundation seeks to empower communities to take control of their health and to establish a vibrant and participatory health care system made up of communities, health workers and governments. Knowledge is the core product of MCN Foundation’s activities. The Healthy Pharmacy Coalition's mission statement is to bring health care reform to our neighborhood pharmacies. This will be accomplished through passing the Pharmacy Wellness Education Act at the federal, state or local levels in order to implement customer education pilot programs in stores throughout the country.As a result this will transform retail pharmacies from convenience stores into neighborhood health centers by creating groundbreaking in-store wellness education campaigns and a healthier, more profitable product mix. In order to to reduce national health care costs by 10 percent over five years.
