I have been with Ohio Hi-Point Career Center since October 2000 as Technology Coordinator, and most recently as the Director of Technology. I am responsible for the day to day operations of the Technology Department, our 1 to 1 laptop program, as well as our 30+ satellite programs which bring career technical education to our partner schools. We were one of the first public schools in Ohio to start a 1 to 1 laptop program, and have been at it for over 10 years. We have worked with various manufacturers, and platforms over the years. Much of my responsibility involves managing the virtualized data center (VMWare), full campus wireless networking, iSCSI SAN storage, and 10 Gbps fiber optic backbone. There have been quite a few challenges, but all of it has been extremely rewarding. I love working in the school environment, and have a very rewarding career.
