This includes (mild) editing of incoming programs to fit within the schedule and compliance standards. Primary duty is to monitor the equipment to make sure it is operation properly and knowing how to switch the channel over to backup feeds in the event that it is not. Also serves as the on-site backup person in case someone in production is unable to come in - which includes knowledge of camera operation, technical direction, lighting, etc.

An incredibly diverse position in the college's Media Services division, primarily responsible for shooting and editing promotional footage as well as the college's various podcasts as part of the there LCC Connect program. The responsibilities of this position varied from acting as a set Grip, to camera operator, to editing footage and video, to creating special effect and digital signage in After Effects, to television and radio work, and even serving as a teacher's assistant in the film/video department. Other duties saw me assisting the audio/visual, classroom services, tech support, library, and photography departments, as well as the Lansing Media Center. While there I also learned some base rudimentary basics on planetarium and television engineering.
