Since I finished my education at 19, I have had the great fortune of seeing my hobby become my work. Ever since primary school, I’ve been very much interested in IT technology. Admittedly, this was mostly because of video games, at first. But when the time came for me to choose what I wanted to study, the choice was easy: it was very clear to me that I wanted to work in IT.In over 15 years of working experience, I have had the privilege of working for very diverse companies and organizations. I have experience with various roles of IT service management, ranging from IT support engineer to service desk-employee, and from application manager to doing 2nd line system administration. The combination of doing technical work on the one hand and helping people on the other suits me very well. My view on IT is that it should serve the person who is operating the keyboard. Figuring out what the best technical solution is for the functional needs that people have in their work is what makes working within IT service management a real thrill for me.I personally feel most comfortable in an informal company culture, where the lines of communication are short, where people are inspired and enthusiastic about their work, and where a casual vibe goes hand in hand with professionalism and expertise. What else?I am a fast learner who very much learns by doing—by training on the job. I am very organized and structured in my work. I have a good understanding of my responsibilities.I like to plan ahead as much as possible. I enjoy working with others in a team; for me, the people that I work with are at least as important as the work itself. I have solid writing and conversation skills in Dutch and English. And besides my work?I enjoy being outdoors. I love running, fitness, and swimming. Friends and family are important to me.
