Technical Lead, Software Developer, & Project Manager for major U.S. Government customer projects.• Researched and developed techniques for advancing graph analytics on general purpose GPUs. The goal for the research is to release an open source library simplifying graph analytic software development on emerging hardware architectures, specifically GPUs.• Developed software and analytics processes for a predictive analytics course delivered to a U.S. Government customer. The course looked at different analytic tools and machine learning techniques to solve large-scale data intensive problems using modern open-source software.• Evaluated systemic vulnerabilities of emerging technology domains for a U.S. Government customer. This effort is to inform our customer of emerging threats to technology and infrastructure to enable preventative and timely mitigation measures.• Assisted in evaluation of heterogeneous cloud controller software. Embedded Software and Electrical Engineering Technical Lead for the Advanced Explosive Ordinance Disposal Robotic System (AEODRS) project team.• Assisted VP of Engineering and CTO to develop technical requirements and goals for each of the AEODRS subsystems. Refined technical requirements into concrete tasks and components upon contract award. Additionally, generated schedule and effort estimates to ensure overall project schedule and coordinated efforts between other technical disciplines to mitigate component integration risk.• Supervised and technically managed a team of seven junior engineers and technicians. Performed design reviews and provided input for job performance evaluations.• Implemented low-level architecture and framework to provide high-level software standard routines to interact with the hardware components. This reduced integration and testing time by allowing the high-level software to integrate and test against standard APIs.• Designed electronics and developed firmware to control a system developed for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide a low cost, remote operated, tool to assist in the defusing and disposal of pipe bombs. This system has been field-tested using live explosives and delivered to production engineering for initial production.

Software Lead for the Robotic Solutions Group and responsible for new feature development on the Ibis Tek iWDL4860 series of radios. • Modified a Linux wireless communication driver to improve both the performance and stability of the Ibis Tek iWDL4860 radio. These changes allowed for the creation of link-aware applications, which allow for improved wireless communication performance in the mobile applications.• Assisted in the integration and coupling of video encoding and decoding solutions to the Ibis Tek iWDL4860. This integration is the cornerstone of Ibis Tek's link-aware applications; it allows for improved distance and robustness of the iWDL4860 radio.• Evaluated and deployed a Linux based OS and build system for the iWDL4860 radio. The framework serves as the basis for all advanced features of the radio, including digital IO, RS232 bridging, and hooks for link-aware applications.• Developed software and influenced hardware for a non-RF optical voice communication system. The system’s intent is to provide soldiers a reliable and cover channel of communication for vehicle convoy situations where electronic countermeasures are in use.Wireless communication technology now with iWDL Tech.

Member of a team responsible for designing the next generation of vehicle control systems for a DARPA Future Combat Systems program.• Designed and implemented the software for the new vehicle control system for Carnegie Mellon University's Spinner and Crusher vehicles. The system utilized CAN bus and was responsible for communicating with all sensors and controlling related subsystems.• Integrated a navigation and path-tracking subsystem for BAE Systems’s Black Knight prototype unmanned ground vehicle. This system allowed for autonomous playback of previously driven routes as well as provided the basis for the perception system to plan paths and control the vehicle’s movement.• Implemented a MS Access database to manage the vehicle software parameters and automatically created C code for use by the vehicle control system. This database allowed for rapid redeployment of the vehicle controller and reduced build time by nearly fifty percent.
