Carmel High School

As Carmel DECA's first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), I was responsible for developing the department that promoted our organization both internally (in Carmel High School) and externally. CMO oversees four teams: the Public Relations Team, the Carmel Cafe & Market Marketing Team, the Media Team, and the Class Officers Team. I represented the department on the executive board and served as the main contact for external media engagements, such as local television and newspaper interviews. This provided me with the opportunity to speak to over 300 business executives at the OneZone Chamber of Commerce about the mission of our organization in 2016.

Carmel High School

Carmel DECA is a student-run competitive business organization based out of Carmel High School. Our 600 members compete at the local, state, and international levels in various events. The Vice President of Public Relations is responsible for connecting Carmel DECA with the community. In this role, I developed and executed the idea for Carmel DECA's corporate partnership program. Leading a team of other students, I oversaw the process of reaching out to local businesses, conducting over 60 face-to-face meetings with business owners, and organizing events that connected students with corporate partners.
