Jacqueline Deutsch is currently working for San Francisco Unified School District as a Kindergarten Teacher at Tenderloin Community School.Jacqueline attended San Francisco State University with a B.A. degree in Child Adolescent Development with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. Jacqueline pursued a MA in Elementary Education and graduated in May 2021. She earned her Multiple Subject Credential Program as a student teacher with San Francisco Unified School District. She completed her first semester of student teaching at Sunnyside Elementary in a 3rd grade classroom and continued to work with kindergarten at Lakeshore in the beginning of 2020 as she finished her credential and MA. She started working with children starting with Jumpstart as a preschool teacher at Tule Elk Preschool and was employed at an everyday after school program at Lakeshore Elementary School. She loves working with kids and is pursuing her degree to one day become an elementary school teacher. She was employed at Felton Institute and was working at Felton Learning Center as a full time teacher assistant float in a four year old preschool classroom from 2016-2019. Educational Philosophy:As an educator, I feel that education is the basis of staying successful in their educational career. My goal as an educator is to always provide them the guidance to develop in the classroom setting and beyond. Through my short time in the field of education, I find that children learn and develop concepts during play and learn by experiences. I want to help children develop in their critical thinking, how they see the world in their perspective and web ideas together to make sense of their world. I believe that a teacher should support relationships to learning and helping them think critically. When I create curriculum, I do it based off what my students self interests are and build off the students ideas to keep them engaged in material.
