    Responsible for planning and execution of over 1700 maritime safety & security compliance inspections on foreign freight vessels to enforce International Maritime Organization (IMO) treaties; U.S. Laws/Regulations for pollution prevention (MARPOL), structural engineering/construction, fire & lifesaving systems, operations, crew competence, ship stability & loading, petroleum product, ballast water management (BWM), and noxious liquid substances.Conceived, Developed, and Led technology-driven project to equip foreign vessel inspectors with technology platform that enabled them to process inspections quickly, seamlessly share knowledge, access full regulatory library, and administer required documentation in real time. This effort increased productivity of inspectors dramatically, reinvesting thousands of hours back into the mission each year. Project lauded by the Federal Executive Board.

Also responsible for the establishment and facilitation of the Area Maritime Security and Port Security Committees (AMSC & PSC) which provide an vehicle for discussing homeland security issues for over 800 maritime stakeholders.Developed first generation maritime risk management tool enabling leaders to optimize the deployment of Coast Guard Assets (vessels, aircraft, people) against regional vulnerabilities and known threats using a visual GIS display. Project lauded nationally by USCG Innovation Council.Deployed first of its kind alert, warning, and accountability system across the Puget Sound enabling the Coast Guard to better assess readiness and communicate with maritime partners. Through the receipt and acknowledgement of automated messages, port partner easily reported increases in security readiness resulting in more efficient communications and oversight.
