In charge of all the grant application processes in the company, coordinating all project tasks. In 2009 Panda was awarded more grant subsidies in total than had ever been achieved previously.

Panda Research is the company’s Research and Innovation area. Ideas are validated, new product or technology projects are incubated and once they are tested, they are transferred to production areas where they are developed as new products or new technologies deployed to existing products.My main tasks were:• Supervision and coordination of R+D projects.• University agreements. We established agreements to develop new projects with different local universities and technology centers.• Supporting the effort to obtain grants related to R&D&i. In 2008 we presented more grant applications for technical projects and to more different organisms than anytime before in the company’s history.• Supporting processes such as candidate recruitment and coordination with the rest of the company (HR, Training, Logistics). We increased the personnel in the area fourfold in less than one year.

As the Team Manager for Retail and Web-based products my tasks included:• Ensuring quality objectives and deadlines were met. Leading cross-department management groups (Marketing, Sales, R+D, Quality and Services), ensuring projects stay within deadlines and budget.• Using key metrics to monitor product life-cycle: marketing campaign results, sales, time to resolve issues and delivery time of new patches.

• Planning and implementation of the first 24x7 tech support service in 1997, offering phone support to customers worldwide. Our tech support service had previously been integrated in the Development Area and I was charged with coordinating all tasks related to the deployment of the service as an independent area.• Recruitment, monitoring and determination of metrics for evaluating and promoting personnel in the area.• Coordination of the teams (20 people) across the various service levels to offer maximum service quality. • Design of the incident escalation and monitoring procedure.• Training and product knowledge certification for local support technicians across 50 countries. • Driving team motivation. Maintaining a positive outlook and perseverance were key factors when it came to getting solutions from other areas of the company and deploying them to customers.
