As the Senior Financial Analyst, I assist in the implementation and maintenance of business solutions within the Accounts Payable Department of the Financial Shared Services Center. I work with other business leaders within Accounts Payable and the FSSC, utilizing a mixture of technical and analytical skills. My role includes the following:* Serve as the cross department liaison, to the internal audit team, where I advise on SOX compliance* Provide strategic support to the PMO team* Work with key stake-holders in multiple business units for information return reporting* Transactional surveillance and compliance monitoring* Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and calculating monthly sales and use tax accrual data, which is used by the accounting team when making state sales tax remittances * Create and maintain department activity based metrics, success metrics, and KPIs* Develop and implement alternate methodologies and procedures to enhance business practices* Process lead for multiple Process improvement projects and initiatives, which included consolidation of multiple financial reporting platforms, that were then integrated in the new ERP system (Oracle)* Assist the Director and Executive Director in facilitating implementation of best practices through project management and analytical analysis to achieve standardization across all finance related functions* Perform finance and accounting activities for The Company, and work to support continuous improvement initiatives and events* I am responsible for making sure that all updates related to South Dakota v Wayfair Supreme Court Decision, are taken into account, when deciding how the department should move forward relative to the tax accrual process* I am responsible for reconciling our corporate bank accounts, using data analysis and forensic accounting
